With a higher vulnerability to the dangers present on the road, it is vital that those who drive motorcycles or scooters are diligently trained and made aware of the potential risks. Mastery, security, responsibility...it's with these words that our Élite Conduite school accompanies our students in their goal of obtaining the A1 Permit (from 15 years), A( from 18 years) whilst maintaining confidence in the professionalism of our instructors.

OBLIGATORY FIRST AID
AND THEORY COURSE

THEORY EXAM

Once having passed the theory exam for either the A1 or A permit, each learner driver is obligated to take part in a First Aid course. Moreover, if the student wishes to prepare themselves for the theory exam, our driving school in Nyon provides theory courses in groups or individually.

In this training program Élite Conduite teaches you the gestures and acts that can save lives whilst also providing information on how to better aid other road users.At the end of this workshop, each participant will receive their First Aid certification which is necessary to obtain an appointment for the theory exam.

PRACTICAL EXAM

The theory exam in hand, the learner driver can now proceed to the next step: the practical exam. Prior to requesting a date for the practical exam and thereby obtaining the A or A1 permit upon successful completion of the exam, an awareness course and an obligatory motorcycling course of 12 hours accompanied by one of our instructors is required.

This course aims to instruct learner drivers of the necessary knowledge and competencies required in order to identify and foresee the dangers of the road : mechanical, verification of new oil, adapting driving speed according to weather conditions; Students will also be made aware of the importance of situational awareness and the dangers of driving under influence. 

MOTORCYCLE DRIVING COURSE

Individual Course on the road– Obligatory 12h + lesson package (50mn)

Wheel in hand of their personal vehicle, the student will learn how to perfect their driving on two wheels under the supervision and advice of our instructors, and will undoubtedly engage in both masterful and responsible driving. Equipment and a vehicle in good working order are mandatory for courses and practical exam: approved helmet, gloves, clothing and boots.

*The 12 hours on driving on a motorcycle or scooter must be realised with a vehicle in the category corresponding to the conditions of the student’s learner permit within the 4 months of obtaining the provisional licence in order to prolong its validity by one year and hence pass the practical exam.

2-PHASE COURSE
ON PRIVATE TRACK

« A PERMIT » DEFINITIVE

Exclusively offered by an agreed set of driving schools in which our centre Élite Conduite falls under, new permit holders of the A category must follow a 2 phase motorcycle course on a private track followedby a one day supplement.

2 PHASE COURSE MOTORCYCLE*

Group course on private track – 1 day in the 1st year of the motorcycle provisional licence

In groups and with their personal vehicle, the learner drivers will learn to master diverse situations on the track (emergency brake, slippery bends, eco-driving etc.) in order to gain an understanding of their abilities, their own limitations when faced with risks and those of their vehicles. At the end of this course which lasts 7 hours, the participant will receive a certification.

This training course must be taken within the 12 months which follow when having obtained the first motorcycling permit in order to avoid a fine of 300 CHF, if you are unable to present the certificate issued at the end of the 2 phase. If this course has not been carried out within three years, the category A of the provisional license becomes null and void. *Uniquely concerns probationary licences (valid 3 years) after successful completion of the practical exam.

By car as well as by motorcycle, safety takes precedence and it is crucial to train properly. After having completed the first aid course, the motorcycle learner driver can proceed with theory lessons with Élite Conduite in preparation for the theoretical exam. Mandatory, but no less important, awareness courses as well as the 12 hours of motorcycle driving must be completed before being able to take the practical exam for the motorcycle license. Once the student has received his/her probationary license (A permit), he/she must complete a 2-phases motorcycle training on a private track in the following 12 months in order to receive his/her final motorcycle license.
